Moulin Rouge! The Musical will transfer to London’s West End in March 2021.
Based on Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film, the musical will run at London’s Piccadilly Theatre, featuring a “lavish” immersive set. Set in the Montmartre Quarter in Paris, Moulin Rouge! The Musical is a luxurious, indulgent musical that’s been hailed as one of the most anticipated shows of the century.
As a lovesick writer named Christian takes his seat inside the Moulin Rouge, he’s greeted by Satine. With a dazzling smile and an inviting manner, their lives collide in epic fashion as they grow closer together in an extravagant world where anything goes.
The musical is currently running on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, with further productions announced for Australia and a North American Tour.
A theatrical celebration of truth, beauty, freedom and — above all — love, Moulin Rouge! is more than a musical; it is a state of mind.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical will transfer to the West End, with performances at the Piccadilly Theatre from March 2021. Tickets for Moulin Rouge! The Musical will go on sale next year.
