Sing Street musical transfers to Broadway following a successful run at Off-Broadway’s New York Theatre Workshop. The New York Times says, “A BOY PRESSES ‘PLAY’ AND THE WORLD GOES AWAY. That everyday magic act takes on fresh, senses-stirring life in ‘Sing Street’.”
Based on John Carney’s 2016 film, the new musical explores the power of first love and music against the backdrop of 1980s Dublin, where 16-year-old Conor turns to music to escape troubles at home and impress a mysterious girl. The musical features a New Wave score from Carney and Gary Clark, a book by Tony winner Enda Walsh, and choreography by Sonya Tayeh. Tony winner Rebecca Taichman directs.
Preview performances begin on March 26, 2020 with opening night on April 19, 2020 at The Lyceum Theatre, 149 W 45th Street, NYC. For more information and to purchase tickets, please click here.
